"Working w/ SanDee eliminated the neck and shoulder pain on the 1st visit"

A little about me...
My interest in the body began with my involvement with several sports. I was a competitive swimmer for 13 years and also competed in basketball, water-polo, field hockey and triathlons. I coached athletes for 15 years from little tykes to national level collegiate athletes and gained invaluable experience. With my athletic lifestyle has come many injuries and their rehabilitation using my experience and knowledge.
I graduated from CSU Long Beach with a B.A. in Physical Education. I came to massage therapy as a career with a strong knowledge of anatomy and function of the body and how it relates to movement and is prone to injury. In 2009, I was looking for a career change and attended the California Holistic Institute School of Massage and Upledger Craniosacral training and received my state certification as a Massage Therapist (#2020043255). I am a Reiki Master, Crystal Therapist and certified to do Reflexology. I am excited to add that I have added Cupping and Gua Sha/Blading to my sessions.
Being a mother and having experienced pregnancy, I am in awe of what women's bodies were born to do. Along with making another human being, pregnant women have to function in a chaotic world. Stress of life and the profound changes in her body and her hormones is NOT easy. Massage can have numerous benefits to the mother that transfers to the child in her womb. Having a nurturing and comfortable place to be pampered is my goal for each of "my" mothers -to-be and postpartum.
Chronic issues first start on an energetic level and then on a physical level. Trauma, stress, grief, anger, all show up in a physical way and I have found that the use of energy work is vital to the complete process of healing. Through continual study of bodywork, herbs and energy work, I add to my base of knowledge and strive to make my treatments the best possible for each client.
Working with bodies and their energy fields has led me to explore how our energy field and physicality affect each other. Everything has its own vibration and has an effect, whether it is visible or not. I am fascinated by the power of our thoughts and our ability to impact and change our lives and the lives of others. Having studied this concept for the last several years, it is my joy to share this information with others through meditation classes, discussion groups, playshops and writing.
I strive to live my life mindfully by allowing life to manifest to my highest good. This means I get to do what I love and spend time with those who lift me up. I am "Grammy" to two amazing and beautiful girls and enjoy spending time with their parents, (my "kids"), my dog and four cats. I love where I live and spending time in nature as much as possible. Care of my body, especially as I get older has become a priority and I enjoy finding new ways to take care of me, to better serve those around me.
